Start with your acceptance
Your offer or enrolment confirmation is the backbone of the application. Make sure it is unconditional where possible, and that your name and programme dates match your passport and forms exactly.
The core checklist
- Valid passport covering the full duration of your studies.
- Official acceptance, enrolment, or admission letter.
- Proof of tuition payment or a deposit, if already made.
- Evidence of funds for tuition and living costs for the full period.
- Academic transcripts and previous diplomas.
- Language test results (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent) where required.
- Accommodation confirmation or a plan for housing.
- Health or student insurance valid in the destination country.
Proving your finances
Most destinations want to see that you can cover tuition plus living expenses without working illegally. Sponsored students should add a sponsorship letter and the sponsor's own financial documents.
Tie it together with a study plan
A brief statement explaining why you chose this programme, how it fits your career, and your plans after graduation reassures officers that you are a genuine student with a path home.
